This proposition authorizes the District to modernize or replace three middle schools, modernize or replace and upgrade facilities of Wilson High School, and make other capital improvements to District facilities, to finance these projects by issuing $300,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within a maximum term of 20 years, and to levy property taxes annually in addition to regular property taxes to repay the bonds, all as provided in Resolution #1831

I was asked by a friend who owns two rental houses in Tacoma and a home in Spanaway, (near Tacoma yet in the same County), how much her property taxes would go up if this measure passes. I could not give her this answer but I did a pretty good job of informing her that schools are very important for our economic future. I got her to understand that at some point, these public facilities do run down and need repairs-repairs which take money.
After my researching which schools would get what money and what that money was to be used for, my friend is now on-board with a Yes Vote but, she wants to better understand how much of a hit she will be taking in her taxes. Can anyone help me out with that?
