NATIONAL HEALTH CARE FOR ALL RALLY AND MARCH
Edited on Fri May-15-09 10:26 PM by norepubsin08
In light of the fact that there are 50,000,000 uninsured people in the United States and follow that up with 45,000,000 under-insured we are facing a huge crises.

A rally and march will be held at First United Methodist Church in Tacoma, Washington on May 30, 2008 beginning at 9:00AM (621 Tacoma Avenue South) parking is available in the Tacoma School District lot.
This is in conjunction with rallies being held all across the nation on the same day.

Speakers will include: US Rep. Adam Smith, State Reps. Dawn Morell and Larry Seaquist, City Council Member and Mayoral Candidate Marilyn Strickland, faith community rep from Associated Ministries Rev. David Alger and Labors-Patty Rose.

Rally is sponsored by: America in Solidarity, MICAH Project First United Methodist Church, Community Health Care, Health Care for All

This rally and March have been endorsed by: The Pierce County Central Labor Council, Washington Association of Churches, Lutheran Public Policy Office, League of Women Voters, MICAH Project First United Methodist Church, Tacoma Urban League, Korean's Woman's Association, Tacoma-Pierce County Associated Ministries, Rabbi Bruce Kadden, Rev. Bill Bichsel, The Rainbow Center, UFCW #367, ILWU Puget Sound Council, America in Solidarity, Tacoma United for Peace and Justice, Pierce County Human Services Coalition, Community Health Care, Health Care for All Pierce County and Progressive Democrats of America among others

We are holding this rally and march early enough so that those who wish, may join in the later rally in Seattle that day. Please K and R this so that everybody can see it, we would like to get as many as possible out. Refreshments will be served.

Thanks- Mike Collier MICAH Project Board Chair
