1. This story will become a movie. I've laid out the timeline below. Warning: graphic text.
Mike Webb hosted a late night talk show for 10 years on Seattle's KIRO Radio station.

Dec 05 - KIRO Radio fires Webb shortly after he is charged with insurance fraud.

Feb 06 - Webb is convicted of Insurance Fraud and sentenced to 2 months (240 hrs) of community service and a $1000 fine.

Nov 06 - Webb meets Scott Brian White, a person with profound mental issues. They become roommates soon after they meet and sleep in the same bed.

Apr 13 07 - Webb is seen for the last time.

Apr 14 07 - Both Webb and Scott are in bed together. Scott gets out of bed under the pretense of having a cigarette. Instead, he reaches under the bed for an axe he had hidden there earlier and bludgeons Webb to death. Afterward, he hides the body in a crawl space under the house. He then pawns all of Webb's belongings, including his car and takes all his money. Over the course of the next month, he text messages Webb's family from his phone, pretending to be Webb, to cover for his crime.

Jun 07 - A Property Manager cleaning out Webb's abandoned home finds his corpse under a tarp and boxes in a basement crawlspace. An autopsy shows there is evidence of blunt axe wounds to the face and stab wounds.

Jun 09 - White pleads guilty to 2nd-degree murder after the prosecutors agree to reduce the plea from first-degree murder. "His ability to premeditate (murder) was severely hampered by his mental health issues," says King County Assistant Prosecutor Don Raz. Prosecutors are seeking a 12-year prison term.

2. He had an axe under the bed and they can't prove premeditation
Even in death, Mike Webb is failed by the police.

God, how I miss his show. Every frickin' weeknight.
