Sustainable farming in the San Juan Islands

We're happy to report that our new video, "Where Is Tomorrow's Farmer?", is getting a lot of great attention!

This ten-minute video highlights the issue of the increasing age of farmers in the U.S. It also looks into some hopeful solutions for bringing younger people into the sustainable farming profession. It was shot entirely on San Juan Island in northwest Washington State in recent months.

The video was made by Michael Hurwicz of Irthlingz Arts-Based Environmental Education with the help of a generous grant from The Raynier Foundation.

Ian Byington of the "San Juan Update" (http://sanjuanupdate.com) -- a widely read "local events" site for San Juan Island -- has posted a link with the comment "I sure enjoyed watching it, and I think you will, too."

"We'd like as many people in the community as possible to see it.
