Did 1090 just change their lineup?
It's supposed to be the Ron Reagan show, and instead, it's Norman Goldman. He's okay, but after three hours of Ed Schultz, I look forward to the calming tones of Ron Reagan.

Drats.

2. My wish
I really wish that 1090 would replace Ed Schultz with The Young Turks!!!! I also don't know why they play football games from time to time.

8. They have a contract with WSU to play all their games
I think it even predates Air America

9. It does predate AAR taking over 1090.
But you can listen to their regular programming on the computer when the Coug games are on.

(Sorry if I sound like a commercial....)

3. Their website shows it as a permanent change
Reagan was moved to 6 - 9, replacing Randi Rhodes. I like the change.

4. It's too much for me
I can't listen to six hours of loud talking men. I'm going to have to switch to NPR. I like Norman Goldman - but I listen at work and after a while, it starts to give me a headache.

1090 is the home of Washington State sports. I don't mind when they go to that. How else are WSU fans supposed to listen to their basketball games?

5. Why did 1090 drop Randi Rhodes?
I've been really busy for three months and when I turned on the evening slot last week she's gone.

6. They need to put Ron back on at 3, and air Mike Malloy live at 6
I don't mind that they swapped out Randi for Norm Goldman, as she has become unlistenable ever since she succumbed to the "inside the Beltway" brainwashing. That 3 hour rant against Keith Olbermann's health care special was the last straw for me. But KTPK should try to air as much live programming as possible, and they're now in a perfect position to do that with Ron & Mike's shows. Norm's the new kid on the block, so he should get the tape delay, if anybody has to.

7. I agree, Sebastian. I am not happy at all that Ron is on delay, and
he broadcasts from right here in Seattle! I like Norm too, but I can't listen to him for three hours after 3 hours of Ed.

I'm going to email KTPK and tell them what I think (no, that doesn't mean I'm going to scream at them....). I want Ron back live!

10. Ron Reagan...
...is the most sensible, reasonable and non annoying of all the talk show hosts. He makes things sound reasonable instead of making them sound like just a rant. I know, personal opinions and all that.

11. Oh, I agree. I've taken to listening online live to him on 1150 AM in
Los Angeles (KTLK).

12. meh, he's just ok - not the best informed.
randi rhodes was turning into an repetetive egoiste, ed schultz is a gasbag that sounds like limbaugh. stephanie miller is ok for channelling liberal rage into humor.

but thom hartmann is the best thing on that station.

13. Well, they can't all be polymaths like Hartmann
I used to like Randi, but she went off the deep end. I like Malloy. Big Eddie has been good on health care, though a bit of a ahouter.

14. Me wants my RReagan back at 3:00-
I am now hopping channels from 3:00 until 4:00 because I cannot take Norman Goldman after the big Ed. I like NG fine, but I LOVE Ron Reagan. It was such a treat to hear him during the errand hour. I guess I'll write to KPTK as well....

15. Bookmark this link - (The only radio link you will ever need)

Some stations (like KTLK in Los Angeles) still carry Ron's show live. Which is the irony, since he's actually broadcasting from Seattle and NOT live there.

KTLK also airs Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, and Mike Malloy in their proper timeslots. Only downside is they carry LA Kings hockey games, so that preempts Malloy's show a lot. And unlike AM 1090, they haven't yet grasped the reality of streaming their regular programming online while carrying the sports on the airwaves.
