Grass roots... yep...
Signs like "Got tar and feathers?" and "Send Obama back to Kenya" and a sign that I can't quite recall the exact wording but it included the phrase "Gang rape" in it.
Oddly, the only one that made any sense to me was the guy with the sign that said "Bring back the McRib". I'll support that.
A couple of YouTube videos of the event (right wing website I think... just found it, don't really want to do a second take on the event myself).

"I'm out here because I'm concerned about my country, we're in debt up to our eyebrows reaching the point of no return," said 34-year-old Brian Lawrence of Maple Falls. "I certainly don't blame this current administration, it's been happening for a long time."
Lawrence said he votes for both Democrats and Republicans - he voted for Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
But others blamed the Obama administration.
"Lower taxes and anti-Obama," said Tyrone Labostrie, 29, of why he was holding up a sign that read "Cap & trade means cap & tax" on one side and "Just say not to socialism" on the other.
