There are two big opportunities this week - some national republicans are visiting and we could really use your help getting in some letters to the editor and commenting on online news stories.
John Boehner is hosting a fundraiser for David Reichert in Bellevue on Thursday, July 8
Michael Steele (assuming he still has a job) will be at the Republican Resurgence rally in Tacoma on Saturday, July 10
We will also have protesters at both of these events as well if you or your volunteers feel like spending some time outside. Because these are such big Republican names, I think it's worthwhile to write letters to the editor even if you're not in the Bellevue or Tacoma area.
This is a great opportunity to tie Rossi, Reichert, and every local Republican to Boehner, Steele, the party of no and the failed policies of the past.
Points to consider:
Boehner said that Wall Street reform is like "killing an ant with a nuclear weapon."
"I do believe real reform is necessary, but that should be targeted to better enforce laws on the books, and modernize the financial regulatory system," said Rep. Dave Reichert.
