1. Nothing is happening until the general election in November n/t

2. I think of it as the firing of 1000 family wage earners program

And remove more revenue from a destroyed budget initiative. It isn't like Costco is going to hire a bunch more people or anything.

3. the liquor stores are anachronisms

left over from prohibition and the attitudes that created it.

i'm sorry the stores will close (not very, actually), but quite probably the state will see increased revenues.

4. Given the barriers to raising taxes, we will most likely NOT see revenue increases

The state's budget will be further slashed, and there will be no new hiring to compensate for the family wage jobs lost.
