How have local initiatives done where you are?

An Island county Prop. to raise tax rate got walloped with a 70% no. Republicans did really well in local primaries.

Some organizations that had agreed to fund paid signature gatherers copped out. Oddly enough, those self-same paid gatherers used the initiative as the front side of their petition to get people to sign others in their collection. Since they weren't getting paid, any signatures they may have gathered were almost certainly not turned in.
