A 41-year-old man dancing, panhandling and pulling down his pants at the Sixth Avenue 7-Eleven in Bremerton was cited for trespassing, indecent exposure and illegal possession of drugs Sunday.
Bremerton police were called to the convenience store in the 800 block of Sixth Street at 3:55 p.m. on reports of a man “aggressively panhandling.” When police arrived on the scene, a man in the parking lot waved his arms in the air and danced around “as if he was trying to entertain” the officers, according to police reports. Witnesses said he dropped his shorts and showed his buttocks to nearby customers. The 41-year-old man had previously been banned from the store last month.
A search of the man’s backpack yielded several prescription pill bottles, including one with the name crossed out in black ink that contained a mix of medications not prescribed to the man.
Police released the man at the scene and forwarded a report of trespassing, indecent exposure and illegal drug possession to prosecutors.
