Help register voters at Worksource |
|
From: rewinn2003@yahoo.com (Randall Winn) I'm looking for a buddy to help with voter registration outside the Seattle downtown "WorkSource" on 3rd Ave. WorkSource is a facility for helping unemployed people get jobs, so I figure people going there might be prime candidates for voter registration. The Seattle office opens at 8:30 and on Mondays there's always a line of people waiting starting at 8. I figure it'd take about 10 minutes to ask each if they're registered & sign them up if not. By 8:30 we'd be done (...and could hustle off to our regular employment...) Anybody want to meet & help? Registration seems to work better in pairs (...in my very limited experience...) Randy ("the list lurker") Winn

1. That is an excellent idea! |

It's a captive audience chock full of people who probably aren't thrilled with this administration. I start my new job on Tuesday after 1.5 years of being unemployed. Thank you for doing this. I would join you, but I have to go to work! :)
