Biodiesel and politics

The wife and I have been checking out biodiesel cars for a few months now and doing some obligatory online web research. Seems the largest local producer of this product is a company called Seattle Biodiesel which is a subsidiary of Imperium Renewables. The CEO of the parent corp is a seriously right wing bush-bot by the name of Martin Tobias. I accidentally surfed into his blog which led to a page on politics and I gotta tell you this guy has praise for Ann the Man and also asks you to contribute to his (the obligatory for ex-Microsoft types) charity fund by buying at WalMart.

I'm kind of befuddled by the logic of his desire to lessen dependence on foreign oil while singing the Resident's praises. Anyway here's his site: http://www.martinandalex.com/blog/archives/politics/index.html
Makes me nervous to see this guy running the local biodiesel show but maybe I'm paranoid and the greater good is being served here despite the messenger.

but then again, I can teach you how to make your own biodiesel in your garage.

then, you can break out into the open market and compete with said republican dickhead and show him what capitolism is all about.
