Washington Senate: Cantwell 48%, McGavick 37%
July 31, 2006
Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell

On the heels of her campaign’s first statewide television ad campaign, Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell’s poll numbers have improved for the first time in months. Cantwell now leads challenger Mike McGavick (R) by 11 percentage points, 48% to 37%. That’s up from a four point lead in June.

The ratings reversal comes after six previous polls showed Cantwell’s numbers steadily falling. The latest Rasmussen Reports election poll of 500 likely voters was taken a week after the launch of the 30-second television spot, “First,” which touts Cantwell’s accomplishments on behalf of Washington state’s families.

2. Remember, it's a Rasmussen poll, so it's skewed to the right.
The real numbers are probably somewhat higher.

Now, I'd like to see someone (anyone!) give some numbers that show how Hong Tran is doing against Cantwell in the primary, or even acknowledge that she's running. The local papers seem to have completely ignored her.

3. TV adds,
It should be of intrest how MaGavic will try to play circumstances and events to come in his adds.

And rather he will use the same method Rossi,s people did, with the advice of republican national , waiting for the money to run out on the democratic end and that staging a last minute ,so to say add campaign ,filling the television screen with the face of a screen shielder.

Most of the adds were placed anywhere in Washington exception to Seattle.
Targeting Seattle ,King county as the evil empire of Washington State.
And creating a fule sorce for the generation of anger ,even hate.

MaGavic claims he will run a clean campaign, but to be a high party roller ,national party must run the show.

Isn,t that what Bush was told at the beginning of his first run for the presidential nomination, essientially he was told by party on high that they would run him, but that he was to stay out of the campaign process, meaning he was to let party on high run the campaign.
The republican party king pins.

And McCaine was tossed to the dogs.
MaCaine scolded Bush durning the debates by saying (Shame on you George Bush for what you said,. Bush replied in the debate, hay, thats not what George Bush is about. Texas tea.

What than will MaGavic say to party national, or the republican king pins?

Than there is circumstances and events to happen with the Mid Eastern conflict.

And ofcourse Cantwell,s stand in support of the war on terrorism and the intrests in Iraq.

Magavic can not be brought up to speed on the global war on terrorism unless he were to become elected.

There Cantwell has a slight edge.

4. You're obviously not from Washington, or...

...you just haven't been paying attention to how elections are run in our state. If the GOP could cheat an election even a LITTLE BIT Rossi would be Governor.

Cantwell will win. Not by the same margin that Murray won by, but she'll win. My bet is somewhere between 6 and 11% points.

5. 6-11 points,-reasonable projection
As it stands ,I would think that is a fairly accurate projection. The disposition being her avoidance of placing her position on the Mid Eastern conflict to the people. Here we are expected to think it is all about secrets.Don,t ask, don,t tell.

It is sad that there are so many potential swing votes out there right now ,those that voted republican that are now at a place of discomfort with the intire Bush adminstration, and the global war on terrorism that demonstrates no positive mission ,- or is out of control.

Mabe Cantwell would do better to lissin to the mood of this nation.
Because after all the people are preparing to speak.

People are asking, and Cantwell will not tell.

6. Magic Mike MaGavic
Edited on Wed Aug-02-06 02:16 PM by Wash. state Desk Jet
Todays paper features Magic MaGavic who is facing a law suit in connection to the many millions he took apon departure from Safco.

When he entered he created a magical mystical dissapearing rule of thumb , should he resign befor the completion of his contract ,he would forfit his goodie package and only receive his finnal pay check.

Which is the Magic MaGavic image he wants you to see.

But when he left he took the money and ran.

Though he also kept his good guy image.

Magic MaGavic!

Corperate waste moneys .

Good thing we have King County Transfer stations.
