The Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival has a history, location, spirit, quality of boats and people that make it the most talked about wooden boat festival in the world, "the woodstock of wooden boats". You don't have to own a boat to experience the inspiration or meet the people for which this festival is famous.

3. I'd love to go...

I haven't been in a few years (since I sold my boat) but that might be fun. It's a couple hour drive, but it'd be a nice break from housebuilding.

5. Wish we could make it this year

My SO has to have his wisdom teeth out, but he loves wooden boats so one of these years we'll make it up there.

In fact, we haven't been up to PT at all this year, which sucks; we need to go before winter sets in.
