Rahall challenger killed in crash

The state Democratic Party says congressional candidate Tom Easterly, who had announced he was running against Nick Joe Rahall, was killed in an automobile wreck.

Easterly, a community activist and former state legislator from Beckley, announced earlier this year that he was running against Rahall for Congress in 2006.

The wreck occurred about 5 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 64 near the Hurricane exit when the driver of one car slammed into the side of another car, Hurricane Fire Department Assistant Chief Alan Paxson said.

his challenger was actually more conservative. I drove past this wreck yesterday. i think this is a conspiracy charge that is just stupid.
