Hey, folks!
Bob Kincaid, formerly of WWNR-AM, Beckley, WV, is setting up to syndicate a new version of his show and needs a custom PC built for him in the next few weeks.
Are there any WV-area technicians here who would like to help him out and make a few shekels in the process?
Broadly he is looking for a 3 GHz machine with a gig and a half of fast RAM, A good CD/DVD burner, a kick-ass sound card with firewire, and enough of a video card not to slow any of the rest of it down. He also wants to incorporate a PC-front panel mixing board that he has already identified.
It will be the main machine for syndication of his show and so has to be reliable, and a more-or-less local resource is needed in case of problems.
For reasons of software compatibility he plans to run Windows-XP.
We considered Mac and Linux, of course, but with nobody local who knows them, and I being 1000 miles away, we had to abandon those lines of inquiry.
Please contact me via IM here if you can help out or put me in touch with somebody who can help out!
Thanks SO MUCH!
