2. dunno-the union called it off
probably the folly of charging $20 a head for admission. they didn't sell enough tix in advance, methinks

it's hard enough to draw a crowd when you're event is free.

They had recently announced Ed Shultz had decided to broadcast
from here for an extra day.

The events of the whole weekend, dinner and workshops as well, were canceled.

but I'd bet that the money Big Eddie demands for an appearance was more than the Southwestern Labor Council could muster. They're already spending a small fortune carrying WRVC in the first place.

i didn't know that.

but you're right on what happened. i was told shultz ended up asking expenses that werent in the original agreement and they couldn't afford it.
