The organizational meeting for the Randolph County Democratic Women's Club will be this Wednesday, August 2nd, at 6PM at the Randolph County Courthouse Annex in Elkins. The meeting will be held in the meeting room on the first floor, just enter the front door and go down the hall either to your right or left and you'll see the meeting room in the center of the building. The address for the Courthouse is 2 Randolph Avenue and the Annex is the boxy "modern" building with sort of round short brick columns right next door to it. Parking is available behind the Courthouse and in the lot next to the annex as well as some side street parking. Here's the mapquest link to the map:

EVERYONE is welcome, women, men, and children (probably best not to bring pets but I guess that would be OK as well). We've invited the President of the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women, Karen Coria, and the 2nd Dist. Director E, Erica Epperson, to attend as well as Kelly Davis from Upshur County. A representative from Mike Callaghan's campaign will be there and our Randolph County Democratic Executive Committee Chairman, Seth DiStefano will attend.



The only requirements for membership are that you must be a woman, a registered Democrat, reside in Randolph County, WV, and your "purposes and activities are in harmony with the principles and programs of the Democratic Party".



If you can't attend or you know someone who can't attend but would like to join contact me with your info and I'll pay your $1 dues and sign you up. We have to have 25 paying members to be chartered.



I am helping start this club but won't be able to continue with it for too long because I am leaving WV fairly soon. I know there are many good Democratic women in this county who will be able to make this Club a good resource for the Democratic party. Also, I think the club will be a lot of fun for all members.



Some of us will probably move on after the meeting and walk downtown for some dinner, etc. I'll try to bring something to at least drink for everyone during the meeting. I don't think it will last that long, maybe an hour tops.
