Progressive Rally 8/26 in Charleston
I got this email from a friend today thought I'd share it in case any of y'all wanted to go:

This Saturday, August 26th West Virginians United, a non partisan coalition of union, faith and social justice organizations will hold a "Take Back America" Rally and March in Charleston. This diverse group has come together to work on a variety of progressive issues including:

Workers' rights & corporate responsibility

Affordable health care for all & a clean environment
The cost of war & a fair economy
Women's rights & our civil liberties.

The rally is an opportunity to demonstrate that progressive values are alive and cherished in West Virginia, so bring your outrage, signs and solutions with you to the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse on Virginia Street at 2pm. There will be music and a few (hopefully short) speeches from representatives of WV United groups. At 3pm we'll march through downtown Charleston with the Charleston Community Band to the WV AFL–CIO headquarters on Leon Sullivan Way. There is a separate labor rally at the AFL-CIO starting at 4pm featuring Senator Byrd. After the rally (around 5pm) attend “Labor Night” at the new ballpark (contact Mike Matthews at 343-6952 or mikematthews@cbtwv.org for ticket information) or come to the WV-CAG office for refreshments and the funky, jazz sounds of Full Flavor (they'll make you want to dance!).
