West Virginia Air National Guard Members Set To Deploy

Members of the West Virginia Air National Guard spent Saturday saying goodbye to family and friends.

-- More than 150 members of the 130 Airlift Wing are set to leave for Afghanistan Sunday morning.

Those deployed will be based at the Central Area of Responsibility in Afghanistan to support the global war on terrorism.

This is not the first deployment for the Charleston-based troops.

In the past, they've used the C-130 aircraft to perform vital logistical operations like moving military forces, equipment and supplies throughout the region.
