This Marble King warehouse, company officials said, is the only one in America dedicated to the full-time manufacturing of shooting marbles. It sits near the banks of the Ohio River in this small town in West Virginia's northern panhandle.
Fox and her crew of 28 full-time employees make more than a million marbles a day. They package them on site and send them to toy stores for a variety of uses, including Chinese Checkers and marble shooting competitions, such as those held annually in Allegheny County in the spring.
But Fox is making more than marbles in this warehouse. She is trying to put Paden City on the map, while devising a plan that she hopes will save American manufacturing jobs.
"Seriously, there is almost nothing made in America any more," said Fox, known as the Marble Queen. "What we're doing really is important, and not just to us, not just to Marble King. This is more than a job. This is our heritage."
