URGENT -- WV -- Your Congressman Thinks You Aren't Watching!
West Virginia Rep. Alan Mollohan -- a Democrat -- is working with the Repubicans on the House Ethics Committee to help to quash an investigation against Texas Republican Rep. Tom DeLay.

Please CONTACT Rep. Alan Mollohan and tell him to start working for YOU instead of on behalf of the most corrupt politician in Washington. DEMAND the appointment of an INDEPENDENT COUNSEL, and a FULL INVESTIGATION into the charges against Tom DeLay.

The complaint is about soliciting BRIBES, MONEY LAUNDERING, and using Federal resources to further his political ends in Texas. Why doesn't Rep. Mollohan think these are problems???

It has come to our attention here in WV, that one of our representatives, Alan Mollohan, the ranking Democrat in the House Ethics Committee, is working closely with Republican Joel Hefley of CO, to drop the investigation of Tom DeLay. According to an article in The Hill the only holdup was "Mollohan needs more time to rally his fellow Democrats to line up behind an outcome favorable to DeLay."

Wow, are we embarrassed and ashamed that this is our representative.

We immediately began spreading the word throughout Mollohan's district (luckily the district where our state DFA group is strongest) and are urging all Democrats in his constituency to call and voice their opposition to his "cooperation." We are going to be very aggressive with this.

2. more info
In an editorial in today's New York Times:

But Mollohan voting with the R's would be an even worse result than stalemate.

3. I'm extremely angry over this
Mollohan has been wrong for WV for a long time. I rarely ever see him in our district, and does anyone else remember the bounced check scandal. He was one of the few house members that survived that scandal. I really hope Byrd and Rockefeller can reel him in, elsewise, 2006 we 1st district liberals really need to find a new guy.

4. Welcome to DU!
Mollohan helping DeLay after the way the democrats in the House have been treated, kind of makes one wonder, What's in it for Mollohan? Maybe West Virginia don't pay him enough?
