Workers Comp Issues

I agree that there is abuse of Workers Comp in WV, but I think the legislation just passed swings too far in the other direction.

However one thing that puzzles me is that it DID pass. I know WV has got to have one of the largest popluations of people collecting Workers Compensation benefits of any state, but I don't know if it was the way they just came in there real quick and passed it or what, but I expected to see more opposition.

Workers comp has lot of employees. There are tons of recipients, lawyers and doctors that are involved with the system, yet it seems none of these groups was well organized enought to put up any siginificant opposition to this legislation? What is wrong with these people? Don't they vote? Don't they know what's at stake??
