Put politics aside in important discussion

Kudos on the insightful and pragmatic discussion of Milwaukee murders on Aug. 3. The four columns by local residents were both thoughtful and honest save one.

Lois Moore's reference to the good old days "with reduced crime rates during the terms of former President Clinton" was woefully inappropriate and did nothing to advance what should be an apolitical discussion.

Thank you to the others; shame on Moore.
