Rep. Suder Asks UW How It Is Funding Fonda/Galloway Bus Tour
Madison….Not to be outdone by UW Whitewater’s Ward Churchill fiasco, UW Madison will soon
host its own infamous anti-America speakers. Hanoi Jane Fonda and ultra-liberal British MP George
Galloway are bringing their anti-war bus tour to Wisconsin and taxpayers may be left holding the bill.
Representative Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) is asking University of Wisconsin - Madison officials how much
taxpayer money and other UW resources are being used to host the Fonda/Galloway on-campus event.
“Those bottles of vegetable oil Jane Fonda is using to power her bus don’t pay for themselves,” Suder
said, “I’m amazed the UW has resorted to importing America haters, but I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if
they are doing it at taxpayer expense.”
Fonda is expected to give a twenty minute introduction for British Member of Parliament, George
Galloway. Kicked out of his own Labour Party for encouraging the enemy during the Iraq War, Galloway
has famously called the Iraqi insurgents “martyrs” and openly praised Saddam Hussein’s brutal regime.
Galloway has stated that the worst day of his life was when the Soviet Union collapsed. He also has
dodged questions about his possible connection to the U.N.’s Oil for Food scandal. Galloway made
headlines recently in Britain by blaming his own country for the recent terrorist attacks there.
“I wonder if the UW would be so quick to jump at an opportunity to host a speaker who is in favor of our
war on terror,” added Suder. “Given that this hate-fest is being sponsored by a UW Department, it’s no
wonder conservative views are not welcome on the Madison campus. You’d think they would have
learned something from their Ward Churchill debacle at UW Whitewater.”
The event on September 18th is set for the Memorial Union on the campus of UW-Madison. It is
sponsored by The Capital Times, the Progressive and the A.E. Havens Center. The Havens Center – which
advocates socialism -- is a part of the Department of Sociology at UW-Madison.
“It’s bad enough that the University thinks this is an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars,” Suder said,
“This hate speech is being taught directly to our children. The university experience should be about
exploring new ideas, not having hate of your own country being shoved down your throat by university
professors.”
Representative Suder has gained nationwide attention for his exposure of misuse of taxpayer dollars
at the University of Wisconsin. He was recently on the number one rated Fox News show, The O’Reilley
Factor discussing the UW’s policy of continuing to pay convicted felons in prison. Suder is also a member
of the Wisconsin Air National Guard and a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Then it's paid for by either UW-Madison student fees or monies from the sponsoring organization, not taxpayer dollars.

The only thing paid for by taxpayers are things like electrical hookups, heat, security, etc. Things that are available to all visitors to UW campuses.

Ultra-Left British MP Praised Saddam’s Regime--Called for Jihad

MADISON… “Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability.” –a direct quote from
British MP George Galloway to Saddam Hussein in 1994 -- shortly after it was discovered that the
former Iraqi dictator had brutally used poisoned gas to murder several thousand of his own people. State
Representative Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) today criticized the UW for allowing Mr. Galloway and his
cohort Jane Fonda a forum to spread his dangerous pro-terrorist beliefs on the grounds of the Madison
campus on Sept.18th. Suder said the Galloway/Fonda anti-war tour stop is a slap in the face to all of the
fighting men and women in Wisconsin who have laid down their lives in defense of our freedoms.
“Ward Churchill’s got nothing on this guy,” Suder commented. “It’s bad enough he blames the
London bombings on his own country, but to come here and tell us that terrorists are martyrs for
killing our troops goes too far. No wonder the UW has gone into hiding about this.”
After being kicked out of his own left-leaning British Labour party for calling for a “jihad” against
British and American troops fighting in the Iraq War, Suder said Galloway has taken his personal
agenda of hate onto a more global scale. Some of Galloway’s most appalling statements include:
• “I did support the Soviet Union, and I think the disappearance of the Soviet Union is the biggest
catastrophe of my life.”

• “…the attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorist attack in Britain.
Tragically Londoners have now paid the price of the government ignoring such warnings.”

• Following the attacks that rocked London, Galloway accused British Prime Minister Blair of
having, “the blood of the innocent on his hands.”
• Galloway used a series of appearances on the Arab television network Al-Jazeera to praise
insurgents fighting British and American forces in Iraq, and referred to them as “martyrs” and also
accused Blair of using the London bomb attacks to “justify the war on terror.”
• Galloway made this horrific statement on Syrian TV:
"The Iraqi resistance is not just defending Iraq. They are defending all the Arabs, and they are defending
all the people of the world from American hegemony.”
Suder has asked for a full accounting of the costs of the upcoming Galloway/Fonda campus visit from the UW to
ensure no taxpayer or student funds are being used to support their pro-terrorist speeches. At the time of this
release, Rep. Suder had yet to receive any cost analysis from the leaders of the UW regarding his inquiry.

For instance, in the 1st press release he states, "The university experience should be about exploring new ideas" Apparently, for Studer Univesities are only for exploring ideas that Studer pre-approves.
