Blood supplies in the affected Gulf Coast states are large enough to meet current medical needs. However, the need for blood will be ongoing and is expected to grow. In order to maintain an adequate blood supply level, people who would like to help should contact BloodCenter of Wisconsin at 1-877-BE-A-HERO to schedule an appointment.

The downtown Milwaukee office will be open on Labor Day. I'll be there in the morning with my daughter. And hey---the treats are from Panera!

the blood center was busy this morning. Daughter #1 was unable to donate (pulse rate too high today)so she folded and sorted t-shirts for an hour and a half. The staff loved her. Me too.

4. The Red Cross is in my area on the 12th and I plan to donate then.

A for-profit corporation making money on my blood just kinda creeps me out.
