This Supreme Court Race Is Big Shit Folks
There's already a "CONservative" majority. Can you imagine if we get another puke in there?

1. Yeah. The problem is that most people have no conception
of what a SC election means to them. They tend to vote for conservative candidates, who run on Law'n'Order platforms so they can get in to do the will of the WMC. I swear the average cheesehead isn't bright enough to be allowed to vote for SC Justices. I need look back no further than the last 2 elections to prove my point. And, of course, the SC elections never seem to draw more than about 10% of the electorate, so maybe I should say the 10% who show up are apparently not bright enough to be trusted with a ballot.

3. Ever read John Grisham's novel _The Appeal_?
If you have a particular interest in SC politics, it's a great novel.

(I recently told one of my lawyer clients I'm studying law. He looked a little bewildered, and I explained--"About 2 more Grisham novels and I figure I'm ready to take the bar exam).

4. The Appeal
I mentioned "The Appeal" previously and said it is a blue print for what happened in the last two Supreme Court races in WI.

6. No foolin'.
The only part that didn't match the reality in WI was that the candidate was a simple and earnest Fundie who actually believed in his right-wing causes. I am much more cynical about our last 2, especially Gableman.

5. Shirley Abrahamson
is going to be in Wausau at the Plaza Hotel next Monday at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It is NOT a fund raiser and no RSVP is required. It is an opportunity for her to meet the people. The Plaza is on 17th Avenue just up the road from Shopko on the west side of town.
