Doyle, you fucking backstabbing SOB.

In a reversal of his former position, Gov. Jim Doyle said in a letter to state conservationists this week that he no longer favors removing the position of Department of Natural Resources secretary from his Cabinet.

The change comes at a time when the state Legislature may be closer than it has been in years to passing a bill that would make the DNR secretary an independent appointee of the Natural Resources Board.

(snip)

Doyle also said having the DNR secretary in the Cabinet makes the governor more accountable.

"The governor can no longer just blame the DNR as in past administrations, but must take responsibility for policy. I believe this builds much stronger popular support for environmental initiatives.

1. Bull Fucken Shit.
It was Toxic Tommy who destroyed the old system. Jimmy the Dork just doesn't want to give up the power that Tommy accrued during the years of his dictatorship imperial reign Gorvernorship.

3. He is not very committed when
it comes to conservation issues. First the "Jobs Creation" Act the republicans and WMC wanted so bad, then he gives us the first coal-fired plants in over thirty years, the Arrowhead-Weston line, and now this. If it did make it through the legislature, it would not likely survive a veto.
