Wisconsin’s tax ranking drops to lowest levels in 49 years
Wisconsin’s state and local tax ranking has dropped to its lowest level since 1961, according to an annual report released today by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
The report on Wisconsin state and local government tax rankings shows that Wisconsin ranks 15th among the states as measured by taxes per $1,000 personal income and ranks 21st on a per capita basis - the lowest since Wisconsin adopted the general sales tax.

Hmmm, doesn't this contradict what we always hear from the other side?

1. The study that they need to include with taxes is what they receive.
Do states with lower taxes provide the same services and level of services as states with higher taxes?

Are there services that states with lower taxes don't provide as states with higher taxes?

2. There's always a few things left out in this survey.
They never take into account fees. We have neighboring states where it cost hundreds of dollars to register a car. You can't tell me it actually costs that much. But because it's classified as a fee and not a tax, it's not counted in the "Tax Hell" survey.

And who's more likely to pay that fee - people or corporations?
