Gwen Moore and Dennis Kucinich Townhall on Iraq/Afghanistan: April 25
Here's your chance to hear Dennis Kucinich and our own Gwen Moore discuss what to do about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This event will be held at the Laborers Local 113 hall, 6310 W. Appleton Avenue, Milwaukee. Starting time is 9:30 am.

U.S. Reps. Gwen Moore and Dennis Kucinich will be featured at this townhall meeting. Some of the discussion with the two Members of Congress will include: When and how do we end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Will supplemental funding for the wars continue? What do they see as barriers for Congress and the Administration to end the wars? There will be plenty of time for questions and answers. For more information, please email chair-issues at milwaukeedems.org, or call DPMC HQ at 414-223-3050. Sponsored by the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County & Peace Action Wisconsin.

2. From the buzz I'm hearing on the streets, it's going to be packed.

4. It was a great discussion, imho. You can watch it in its entirety here:
http://www.wiseye.org/wisEye_programming/ARCHIVES-forums.html#

As you'll see, Gwen wouldn't totally commit to opposing the supplemental, although she did say he'd have a hard time voting for it. Dennis, on the other hand, said in no uncertain terms that he'd vote against it, and said he'd lobby his friends in Congress to join him (implying Gwen specifically). So at least there's hope.
