Community service: Need something very soon
My husband has been on probation for almost 2 years for a drug related offense. Part of his sentence is community service. He has 30 hours left to do by June 1. He knows that it is fault that he procrstinated on doing his hours, but he thought that he had another month left. He has spent almost that much time as he has left over the past 3 weeks trying to line something up, which he did not expect either. His probation officer has been no help at all when he asked where to call. "That's not my job."
We live near Oshkosh. He is open to almost anything at this point. If anyone has any ideas, we would be very greatful. Most organizations seem to have an application/screening process that takes weeks and/or want someone to committ to working for a short time period every week for a long time. He needs to be able to work for long periods of time for this time period although he may be open to volunteering some after his community service is officially open.
If you have a specific oppurtunity, please PM me with a phone number or other contact.
Thanks
