Scott Hassett is being out spent by Van Hollen for Attorney General
As a trial attorney, I handled civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts for 22 years. I have done extensive work representing law enforcement personnel at every level of government. At Lawton & Cates I was involved in many of the environmental cases the firm handled including those involving groundwater pollution and toxic waste.

As Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources , I led an agency with 2700 employees and a budget of $500 million. The DNR‘s enforcement division alone represents one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the State, comparable in size to the Department of Justice.

Now, its time to return the AG office’s to the people of Wisconsin after three years of hard-right Republican partisanship under JB Van Hollen. This will be a tough campaign against a well-financed politician who, in 2006, was supported by more than $3 million from outside groups like Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC).

I’m working as hard as I can, reaching out around the State. We’ve put together a strong campaign in these early stages of the race. Together, we can win. I appreciate your help and support.

Scott Hassett
