I'm sorry to hear about the audit! :(
I remember hearing years ago that you should send someone to represent you in an audit, just to give you some breathing room, if nothing else. If you're there on your own and the auditor asks you for something that you do not have with you, there can be a lot of pressure to just provide answers anyway. If the auditor asks your representative for some information that you have not provided to him, your rep needs to come back to you to request the info/docs, and you have the time (with presence of mind) to pull together the necessary information for the rep to take back to the auditor.
I have no idea if this is good advice - I'm sure someone else will have more first-hand information.
On a nicer subject (and to try to distract you), have you been riding lately? C is going to a schooling show this weekend - taking one of her students, too. We had a great ride last week -it was one of those perfect fall days. It just couldn't have been prettier!
Good luck with the audit. I hope someone can give you good advice on how to handle it.
