Turns out Ronnie didn't build the business. His father-in-law did, he just married the daughter.


Sure, says Ronnie, but I've run it as a successful company for years.


Well what's the prime reason for successfully running a manufacturing business? Customers, of course. Or in Ronnie's case, just one customer. His brother-in-law.

I still remember working in the engineering office of a privately held company whose owner was one of these "self made men". As a matter of fact his big hobby was flying around the country in his King Air and giving his self made man speech to the JCs. The truth was his father, who was CEO of a large corporation, bought him the company and agreed to buy everything he made for the first five years. This is usually the case with these creeps. It's usually a way of enriching their family and friends at the expense of shareholders.
