* Idaho
Any person who is eligible to vote may register on election day by appearing in person at the polling place for the precinct in which he/she maintains residence and completing a registration card; taking an oath in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State; providing any document which contains a valid address in the precinct; and providing a photo ID card.

* Iowa
You can register to vote at the polls on Election Day -- just bring proof of residence and proof of identity. If you have an Iowa driver’s license, be sure to bring it. You can also provide proof of identity with photo identification and demonstrate proof of residency with a document that contains your name and current address, such as a utility bill, paycheck, or bank statement.

* Maine
To be eligible to vote in Maine on election day, you must meet the following requirements: be 18 years old; a United States Citizen; and a Resident of the municipality in which you want to vote. You must show ID and proof of where you live.

* Minnesota
You can register to vote at the polls on Election Day -- just make sure to bring proof of residency, which includes any of the following documents: valid Minnesota driver’s license, learner’s permit, or Minnesota ID card; or valid student ID including your photo; or Tribal ID card that contains your picture and signature. You can also provide proof of residency by providing BOTH a current utility bill or student fee statement that contains your name and address; and a photo ID such as a passport, Military ID, or Student ID.

* Montana
You can register to vote at the polls during early vote or on Election Day at your County Election office -- just be sure to provide your driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number. If you do not have either of those numbers, be sure to bring either a photo identification or current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and current address.

* New Hampshire
You can register when you go to vote on Election Day -- just make sure to bring proof of citizenship, age, and residency in the New Hampshire town or city where you wish to vote.

* Washington DC
You can register to vote at the polls during early vote or on Election Day -- just be sure to bring at least one of the following documents: a valid government photo identification; or a current utility bill, bank statement, or paycheck; or a government check or another government document that contains your name and address.

* Wisconsin
You can register to vote during early vote at your Municipal Clerk’s office or at the polls on Election Day -- just be sure to bring proof of residency that includes your current name and your home address. Valid proof of residency includes: a valid government photo identification issued by the Wisconsin government; or employer-issued photo ID; or a university, college or technical institute photo ID; or a bank statement, paycheck, other document issued by the government; or utility bill for a period within 90 days of the election.

* Wyoming
You can register to vote during early vote at your County Clerk’s office or at the polls on Election Day -- just make sure to bring proof of identity and proof of residency. As long as the following valid documents contain your current address, they provide proof of both identity and residency: a US passport; Valid government photo identification; or Photo ID card issued by the University of Wyoming, a Wyoming Community College, or a Wyoming Public School. You can also satisfy both the identity and residency requirements by providing two of the following documents: a Utility bill, current bank statement, paycheck, or government check; or Certification of United States Citizenship or Naturalization; or Social Security Card or US Military Draft Record; or Voter’s Registration Card from another State or County; or Original or certified copy of your birth certificate; or other current government document showing your name and address.

* North Dakota
North Dakota is the only state that does not have voter registration. Just show-up at your local polling place and vote! To be eligible to vote in North Dakota, you must: be a United States citizen; be 18 years of age or older on Election Day; be a legal North Dakota resident; be a resident in the precinct for 30 days preceding the election; not have been judged mentally incompetent by a court order.
