Rallies to be held across the state Thursday!
Edited on Wed Feb-16-11 04:07 PM by Viking12
Rallies in support of state workers will be held tomorrow on UW campuses across the state at noon. If you have been unable to attend the protests in Madison, maybe this is your opportunity to demonstrate solidarity at a campus near you. At each event there will be speakers representing the faculty, staff, students and the community. We hope for a big turnout from all sectors of the community and would appreciate your attendance. Please spread the word!

3. Rice Lake
I went to the Rice Lake rally tonight. Over 500 attended on very short notice. A lot of drivers honked their support. We all walked single file past our republican assembly rep's business with signs and our voices. His competition came out and said that they supported teachers. If he votes for the budget "fix" bill, he WILL lose business.

5. CHEERS to Rice Lake!
500 people is GREAT! We have a cabin on Leesome Lake, just north of you. I'm proud of all of you. :applause:

Is the competitor's business something that we can support when we go up for a weekend? If so, shout it out!

6. Not really
It's a real estate office, but I doubt that the public employees who lose their homes over this disgusting bill will list with him.
