More Info
Scott Walker Has a Serious Koch Problem

The Koch Brothers recently opened a lobbying firm on the Capitol Square called “Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC”.

They were major donors to Scott Walker’s campaign for governor AND contributed MILLIONS of dollars to ads attacking his opponents. They’re also major funders of the Tea Party and gave over $280,000 to the Republican Party last year.

In addition to playing a key role in Walker's attempt to strip unions of collective bargaining and other rights, the Koch brothers stand to benefit from a provision in Walker's bill that would allow private companies - like Koch Industries - to take over public power plants in no-bid contracts.

3. Protesting
My mom will be there today, she's retired AFSCME. I'll be there this evening. My dad is retired UFCW, he's watching my kids after school.

My five siblings and I all went to college because my mom and dad were union employees. Between the 6 of us there are 7 bachelor degrees, 3 masters and a law degree. I'm very proud of my hometown, my parents, family and friends.

I'm a small business owner, a UW-Madison grad (3 times!) with an unemployed husband (carpenter) and two kids in Madison public schools. We need collective bargaining, it helps all of us succeed.

2. I'd love to be there, but I have too much to do today.
This is happening at the worst time for me. I've been itching to get to Madison, but just haven't been able to wrangle a day free. Trying to talk MadAsHell into going on the weekend, now that we have one free.
