I've been listening to this station Lately and they have had Lena Taylor and other Democrats and Union reps on, and they also cover local Milwaukee issues not based solely on sucking up to the right wing suburbanites like 620 and 1130.

It's a good station and they do a good job.

I recommend this station for great coverage. Scott Walker is afraid to go on by the way.

1. WMCS has a good talk format in the afternoon.

I would listen on my way home to the southern suburbs. It's a lot better than the conservanazi assholes on 620 and 1130. I can't stand the sound of Belling the butthole's voice. He's such a racist prick.

WMCS is definitely giving it a college try. I wish they had more solid coverage and more consistent programming. I've been posting this a lot here but I want to get the word out and maybe something will change. I worked in West Bend quiet a bit over the years. I don't think anything is allowed around there unless it's conservanazi related.

I remember a few years back and an African-American motorcycle club had their "reunion" at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The conservanazis thought they were being invaded. Talk about some bitchin'.

7. My folks have laughed about/been shocked by the racism there since they moved there 26 years ago.

My mom used to joke whenever she saw an AA anywhere in WB, "well, someone's visiting from out of town...and better be gone by sundown".
She used to laugh about their neighbors who had German accents even though they'd lived in WI their whole lives: "They even have accents like Nazis". We can joke about such things, because we have an obviously kraut last name. :)

8. I grew up in Texas, went off to SE Asia for six years, traveled a bit

so, I've learned to adjust to where I reside and where I work. I still have some friends in Wisconsin that I really enjoy. But.......... I've met some champion a$$holes in Wisconsin. Some I just made a mental tombstone for them and they don't exist for me. When I totally ignored them at my workplace, they never figured it out.
I am a union member. I served my country. I believe in helping the less fortunate. I've worked in a couple of factories where the employees are mostly minority. Now, a white Texas Canjun enjoyed working there. Why? Those folks came from the South, looking to work for a better wage and a better life.
White conservanazis could not understand that I enjoyed being around them and they liked me....... WE were on the same side.

I lived there for over 20 years and I am here to tell you that white Wisconsin has some real racist bastards. I've told more than one that the difference between them and the really racist whites down South is that the Southerners will tell a black man where they "stand" and it's understood.

With white Wisconsonites, they don't want that confrontation. They want someone else to do it or say it.

You listen to them in the countryside of Wisconsin and you hear just how prejudiced they are against blacks in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha. They make up jokes about it.


I lived in one town that was basically run by the Germans. Pollocks and other European descent bad<-mouthed them for their rigid rules and ideas.[br />
