1. just got a call from
a right wing friend...gloating...quoting faux news talking points (e.g. MILLIONS of dollars of damage..out-of-state protesters being bussed in...death threats (I think that might be true)Dem 14 should have stayed and taken their "medicine", just like when Doyle rammed a $3BILLION TAX INCREASE THROUGH) couldn't get him off the phone fast enough..

This may get ugly.

2. It's gotten ugly already in my family :(
My sister is a teacher, I work at a library. Our brother thinks Walker is fabulous. We've had some pretty strong words and at this point are no longer speaking to one another. I know a couple people at work are having the same issue with family members and 1 of my coworkers delays leaving work every night because she doesn't want to go home and listen to her husband praising Walker.

It's actually really sad. Although, if someone were to gloat to me about this it'd be the last time I talked to them. I've already "de-friended" several people on Facebook because I find their support of Walker to be so repulsive that I can no longer respect them at all.

3. There are idiots in every family.
Even before this I found Republicans to be repulsive. Now, they're just intolerable. They enjoy the sufferings of other people.

5. No more suffering fools gladly - everyone's running out of patience for it
Like you, I know so many people going through this. Losing family, friends, and coworkers to the battle is no fun, but at some point you just have to excise the negativity. Take some time and maybe come back together when it's all over and we're burying the skeletons.

6. fake cops??
I was downtown all day today. In the morning I was protesting outside on of the parking garages where the Republicans park and use underground tunnels to sneak into the Capitol. There were hundreds of other people with me and most of the cops were very friendly- even telling us the proper way to form lines to continue our protests.

HOWEVER, there were also "cops" in green tactical looking clothes with headsets that looked like they belong on a SEAL team instead of police officers. They had support belts, clips of ammo, and T-shirts that said "police" on them, but not all had badges. The ones that did, had their badges on their thighs next to their holsters. I flat out asked one of them if he was a real cop or a Black-water cop. He said that badge was real, the gun was real, and the bullets were real. I said that I had no doubt the gun was real, but had my doubts about the badge. The guy also had an earing. I know cops are allowed to have pierced ears, but are male officers allowed to wear them on duty???? I thought it interfered with their gear? They also weren't quite as friendly as the rest of the officers have been throughout the last few weeks. Overall, the police officers and deputies have been beyond friendly and even down right hospitable. These guys had a whole different vibe to them.

7. There were protesters on the north side of Madison later today.
I drove over to Warner park dog park and saw about 30 people with union protest signs standing near an intersection - at least 5 miles from the Capitol. Lots of us were honking horns and waving at them. I think it was probably teachers or public employees out there after work.

One said "Walker, we've got your pink slip".
