Republican State Senator Luther Olsen - 14th district
I've got some family in this part of the state - and I've heard a report of very visible recall efforts against Luther Olsen...anybody have any encouraging news or updates?

2. Luther Olson Recall Effort
When Sen. Luther Olsen, R-Ripon, first took office six years ago, he didn't envision addressing pickets in front of his house, leaving the Capitol with a police escort or closing his office in Madison because he didn't judge it to be safe for his staff to come to work.

But, when the Ripon Republican cast a "yes" vote for a portion of Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget repair bill - the part that would remove most collective bargaining rights for public employees - he knew many people would be upset, even angry.

3. I teach in his district
but live in a nearby town that crosses to another district (Hopper's). Both recall efforts seem to be going pretty well. I think Hopper's probably has more steam but they are getting a lot of signatures for Olsen. I have heard half of the sigs needed for Hopper. I haven't heard a % for Olsen, but don't think it is that high yet.
