River Falls man arrested for stealing recall patitions... |
|
http://www.riverfallsjournal.com/event/article/id/98114River Falls police were asked to track down and find a suspect who had made off with a batch of Sen. Sheila Harsdorf recall petition signatures late Sunday afternoon. The alleged theft occurred on the sidewalk near EconoFoods. The male suspect pretended he wanted to sign the petition to recall Harsdorf but instead swiped the forms with signatures and drove off.
The man drove back in five minutes and tossed the petition toward the group of volunteers. Either it was a poor throw or they couldn’t catch. The paperwork landed on wet pavement.(snip) The man seemed indignant that a police officer was at his door and denied being near EconoFoods. Then he said he couldn’t be accused of stealing the petition signatures because he returned them.(snip) Back at the police station, the man was calmer and apologized for his conduct. He said he found the sight of the Harsdorf-recall petitioners very disturbing. He was released after receiving a $177 disorderly conduct fine.

4. I think it was just a little humor. |

I'm a Viking fan living in WI and I chuckled a little bit. I know it's tough times, but maybe lighten up a little bit.

and hearing this snarky shit everywhere you go gets a little tiring. It was not meant in humor it was meant every bit as shitty as it appeared. He/She was comparing that piece of shit in the article to a Vikings fan so no I won't lighten up.

so I hear snarky shit all the time. It's sports. Trash talk is rampant. Guess it doesn't bother me as much.

protested in Madison people from Minnesota protested in Hudson and other parts of the state. I know this because I talked to them and I was protesting with them. They were there supporting the union workers in Wisconsin. Never once was being a Viking fan brought into the conversation. Never once was being a packer fan brought into the conversation. In times like these we are all brothers and sisters. I might ad this is the only time we got along together and it was great. When I read that remark I was very offended and yes it bothers me.
