Where's Kohl?
Someone reminded me we have two senators, and I almost fell over laughing. I honestly had forgotten!

We know where Walker is, thanks to whereswalker.org Question is - where the heck is Kohl?

I'm glad Obama and nat'l dems are keeping a respectful distance, but I would want and expect my local & state reps to be giving their all to fighting the radical right agenda.

1. I rather expect that Herb has been watching basketball.
He's contributed quite a bit of money to universities in the state for athletics, including Marquette and UW-Madison. Both were involved in the March Madness.

2. The question is:
Is Herb really going to run again? And if not, when is he going to let the Dems know. This is strategically very important.

3. Herb Kohl Fights SeniorCare Cuts

Gov. Scott Walker, who said in February he wouldn't mess with SeniorCare benefits, presented a budget in March that pretty much eliminates it. And that has Wisconsin's senior US Senator up in arms.

From Sen. Herb Kohl, who has a history of protecting SeniorCare from Bush administration cuts:

In Wisconsin we have a great program that helps seniors afford prescription drugs while saving taxpayers money.

The popular SeniorCare program provides affordable and comprehensive drug coverage to 91,000 Wisconsin seniors. With a $30 annual enrollment fee, copayments ranging from $5 to $15, and no gaps in coverage, SeniorCare is a proven program that works. In addition to providing exceptional drug coverage, the program also saves taxpayers tens of millions of dollars by negotiating for discounts from drug companies.

On Edit: Herb's always been low key. He prefers to work behind the scenes. But don't doubt he's there.

4. He was at the Capitol one day during the protests.
I didn't see him and it never made headlines. But the people I know who were there every day said that he did come to stand with Wisconsin's workers, sure enough. :applause:

6. Herb Kohl, Tammy Baldwin, and Kathleen Falk
are headlining a fundraiser tomorrow at Quiveys Grove in Madison for Joe Parisi, who is running for Dane County Exec April 5.

Thats a lot of big name Democrats! I guess we aren't leaving anything to chance. Joe is a progressive and he will win. :kick:
