I predicted this....
http://www.marshfieldnewsherald.com/article/20110329/MNH0101/110329039/Appeals-Court-rejects-DOJ-request-union-case-?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

"A Wisconsin appeals court has rejected the state Justice Department's request to withdraw an appeal it had made to a lower court's order barring the secretary of state from publishing a law taking away public workers' collective bargaining rights."

snip

"The Justice Department argues the issues are now moot because the Legislative Reference Bureau published the law on a website Friday and it is now in effect. A judge was hearing arguments in the case Tuesday."

I figured the strategy was to try to keep the case from going to Wisconsin's Supreme Court because the issue is clearly "Open Meeting Law" violations and not worker's rights...there is no murkiness there...none...they didn't give 24 hours notice and there was no "finding" of emergency to justify a 2-hour notice. Nice try douce-bags..

1. Madison City Attorney weighs in too...
He advises the City not to take any action "Since the SoS, who does have the authority to establish the date of publication, has not done so due to a TRO issued against him, there is no date of publication and therefore there is no law in effect"

3. These guys are big time desperate to make this happen. They know their window of opportunity..
is rapidly closing.

Possibly for the next decade or longer.

4. The next generation, at least.
The kids who are out there with their parents supporting their teachers will not vote for repubs. They will be telling their grandchildren about how they helped take back their state. Your state will be a deep shade of blue for a long, long time.
