It's amazing how much we've done since we launched Progressives United a few weeks ago.
We asked progressives like you to help set our agenda, and had tens of thousands of people contribute ideas and feedback.
When we needed to hold Wisconsin legislators accountable for their corporate lobbyist fundraiser in Washington, so much support came pouring in that we were able to run even more ads than we planned.
Also, 16,173 progressives have made a contribution to become founding members of Progressives United. Now we're closing the Founding Member program -- tonight, at midnight. If you'd like to be a part of it, there's still time.
Make a contribution of $5 today -- before midnight -- to be recognized as a founding member of Progressives United and help us reach our goal of 20,000 founding members.
If television was your only source of news, you might not even realize that political corruption by corporate interests is a major issue in this country.
But we're seeing now that many Americans -- Americans like you and me -- know it is an issue. A huge issue. And we're everywhere, in communities all across the country.
Just yesterday, over 20,600 progressives demanded that GE C.E.O. Jeff Immelt step down as chief of President Obama's jobs council. Our group is helping us connect with each other so we can fight back.
As a founding member, you'll get your own printable Founding Member card and recognition on ProgressivesUnited.org, if you want it. We're trying to reach 20,000 founding members before the program closes tonight at midnight, and I don't want you to miss this opportunity.
Please contribute $5 before midnight and become a founding member of Progressives United before the program expires.
Today is close of books for our first-ever public FEC financial report. A strong report will send a message to the corporations and special interests trying to dominate the system: united as progressives we are going to fight back.
Thanks for uniting as a progressive,
Russ Feingold Founder Progressives United
