1. The short answer is No.

There has always been somebody on the ballot, and a couple have been fairly serious candidates. But nobody can raise the kind of money one would really need to reach the whole district with television advertising. For reasons I don't quite understand, the district is conservative. And Beloit is not in the district, but Janesville is. Not sure how that will be redrawn this time.

2. be kind of nice to see someone who would soon be eligible for medicare

so that at the beginning of every debate the dem could say
Ryan you god damn thieving ass hole.


keep your god damn greedy hands off my medicare.


maybe the seniors would finally get the message as to who the ass hat is.

3. I keep hoping.

But year after year Jeffrey Thomas keeps running and losing. I wish he'd just bow out and let someone else give it a try. There has got to be someone with name recognition and good rep.
