I know that we are weary of fighting. I know that many of us have already protested, walked, chanted, prayed, wished, demanded. But we are not finished. On Monday, the DNR is collecting votes across the state. There will be no discussion, only voting. If you have any concern for trapping animals in our state parks, for using dogs to kill bears, for shooting within 100 feet of a human occupied building, then I am pleading with you to inconvenience yourselves for the sake of our state, our forests and parks, our wildlife and vote against the misery that the Republicans are willing to bring to animals. In the 21st century, do we really need to set traps for animals? I am not even particularly an animal advocate. But, the thought of a wolf or a bear stuck in one of those horrific traps, bones crushed, suffering, waiting for the human to come and finish him off... that disturbs me. Does it disturb you, too? If so, would you please consider voting on Monday? Would you consider sharing this tragic set of regulations with your friends, families, co-workers, neighbors, so that the Walker administration might be stunned that they haven't been able to slip this one by us? I would be ever so grateful if the administration were stopped by this one. These new proposed regulations degrade our quality of life and they degrade us. Thank you.
