2. Reading that guy's whines made me feel
Reading that guy's whines made me feel even better about how we did in Lazich's district even though we missed the mark. If this guy thinks 5,000 sigs out of 15,000 needed "should send a message" then what kind of message should 19,000 sigs of 20,000 needed send? And Lazich's district is redder than Lassa's is blue.

In fact, the message only getting 5,000 sigs shouls send is: Sen. Lassa, you're doing AWESOME!

That makes me feel way better about recall elections and efforts down the road.

3. I think there was a mistake
in the article....they (the recall committee) was bragging in the first weeks of the campaign that they had already collected "over 6,000" signatures...recently that guy claimed that they had "between 1/2 and 2/3 of the needed signatures"... Unless they edited the sigs already and threw out a lot, I think they only "needed" 5,900 more...either way it's a victory for Julie.

5. Or that guy was doing what repubs do best:
Or that guy was doing what repubs do best: lying through his teeth.

As you know, how can you tell when a republican is lying? His lips are moving.

6. I'm guessing the discrepancy is the result of blowhard braggadocio.
They needed it to sound like it was going well so that people would keep supporting it. Seems to me I saw an article explaining that this is how that company in Utah raises all their money. They come into a district, put desperately poor felons on the ground to collect signatures, then beg for more money to complete the effort. When it's over, if not before, they run out of town with a chunk of change and really don't care if the effort succeeds. You have to wonder how much money the local bozos gave to that out-of-state organization to get this effort going and then to keep it going.

THAT WAS THE WHITE FLAG....THEY SURRENDERED!:toast:

People running this effort thought they were the "bestest politicians EVAH!" and that they were leading the charge for 'truth justice and the american way"!!!! :puke:

BULLSHIT...

The are not and were not mainstream...they were fringe radicals pushing a fringe, radical agenda...they told others that Julie was "worse than Hitler"...I heard them say that Julie was "damaged goods" and an "easy target".

BULLSHIT!

I hope the hell this guy runs against Julie in 2012...she needs to extract some revenge by having him as a visible opponent....maybe she'll beat him by a margin greater than the 3-1 he lost his alderman's seat by..

GLOAT...:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

11. I've been holding that in for weeks.
I think I mentioned how frustrating it was to watch a former ally who wanted me to be his mentor....think that he knew it all and could use it to ingratiate himself to "the people".

He honestly thought he was taking a populist position.....in truth he was dancing (and still is) with the lunatic fringe...

I just had to let it go...
