Comrade Ron Johnson
I realize this article is almost a year old but a romp down memory lane is not necessarily a bad thing so I shall let Comrade Ron Johnson speak for himself.

Chairman Ron Johnson Says Communist China is Better for Business
Listen to this clip courtesy of the Wisconsin Radio Network, and you can hear Republican Senate Candidate Ron Johnson say that he thinks China is a better place to do business than the U.S.

Here's what he said:

"I’d encourage people to go onto Youtube and type in Steve Wynn. He does about a five-minute piece where he’s talking about- he’s the fellow who does Wynn resorts in Las Vegas. He’s also creating resorts in Macau in China, communist China. And his point is, the level of uncertainty, the climate for business investment is far more certain in communist China then it is in the U.S. here."

The Wisconsin State Journal, which discovered the clip, reported that, "The host sounded a bit baffled by his response." According to the State Journal, the host said:

"Ron...but Macau is in China. China is a socialist-planned economy," he said. "The level of uncertainty...isn't the level of uncertainty part of a side-effect, if you will, of our, of our democracy?”

Ron Johnson of course, has celebrated unfair trade practices that have shipped thousands of Wisconsin jobs overseas as "creative destruction." And he supported Most Favored Nation Status for China, and says that "I think history has proven if you really take a look at economic statistics, free trade works.”

Blogger Illusory Tenant notes recent reports that Ron Johnson's company PACUR received significant government aid, saying:

“It's true, there are even more federal grants and subsidies available in Communist China (where many of Johnson's customers reside).”

Blogger Happy Circumstance recalls his own business dealings in China and thinks: "Tell me again why this man is a serious candidate for office."

1. China, Hong Kong, Singapore, it really doesn't
Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 01:08 PM by mojowork_n
make much difference any more what the nominal designation for the political system is.

Singapore has an out-and-out, undisguised fascist orientation.

Hong Kong blazed a trail for China to pursue "investment opportunities."

...Whatever the system, the game's the same -- the rich get richer. Ron Johnson may
have been the good-looking accountant who married the boss's daughter (his path to
wealth), but he's dumb enough to recognize the game for what it is.

4. China not so happy with USA
I read (I think in TIME) that China is boosting their own companies at the expense of USA companies. I would really laugh if China took over the USA companies and nationalized them.

6. Johnson, like most conservanazis, love Communist regimes for their cheap labor.
WTF. I guess democracy was getting old anyway.

F*ckin' rat bastard, Johnson. He employed prisoners for his business and helped them get state-sponsored health care for their families. Cheap labor conservanazi. :puke:
