Kim Simac Campaign Illegally Coordinates with California Tea Party Extremists
Kim Simac Campaign Illegally Coordinates with California Tea Party Extremists
Aug 11, 2011 Out-of-State agitators echo Simac’s radical agenda while breaking WI campaign laws

Rhinelander – State Senate candidate and self-proclaimed Tea Party leader Kim Simac’s campaign is in trouble with the law – again. Simac’s campaign flagrantly violated black-letter campaign laws prohibiting candidates and their agents from coordinating with independent expenditure groups like the Tea Party Express, which are working on behalf of a candidate. A complaint was filed late yesterday afternoon with the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board outlining the details of their law-breaking activities.

At a Tea Party Express campaign event in Rhinelander on Monday, the ‘independent’ organization coordinated with the Simac campaign to recruit volunteers and voters for the campaign. Tea Party Express staffer Judson Phillips exhorted the crowd to vote for Kim Simac and then introduced a Simac staffer who asked the crowd to sign up – with her – for Simac campaign phone-banking shifts. Tea Party Express staff then turned the stage over to Patrick Testin, Field Director for the Simac campaign, to plea for the crowd’s votes and volunteer efforts. A third Tea Party Express staffer then made another request that attendees sign up for campaign activities with the aforementioned Simac staffer.

“Whether it’s paying her own property taxes or following campaign finance regulations, Kim Simac has shown time and again she has no regard for the law and believes the rules simply don’t apply to her,” said We Are Wisconsin spokesman Kelly Steele. “This blatantly illegal coordination with extremists who came to Wisconsin and compared our state’s recall elections to the 9/11 terrorist attacks shown there’s no floor to how low Kim Simac will go.”

In addition, it was found that the Tea Party Express is not registered with the Government Accountability Board for election activities within the state of Wisconsin, likely making their activities on a recent bus tour illegal. This is not the Simac Campaign’s first violation of election law. Complaints have previously been filed for no less than twenty separate violations.

1. How can we get the GAB to confirm the legality of this?
Letting them get away with these dirty tricks while at the same time making voters jump special voting I.D. laws make the needs to be turned around.... We need more emphasis on election fraud protection...

2. The GAB ... Justice denied is corruption personified!
I canvassed signatures for Olsen’s recall and I know how careful we were to make sure it was done right. We had to get a printed name, signature, declaration of town/city/township and any other data the signer would reveal. Then I volunteered for WISDEMS DATA ENTRY TASKFORCE and I saw first hand the incomplete, sloppy, fraudulent petitions the paid NEOCON operatives submitted. I spent 3 days doing that including Easter Sunday. The GAB allowed these Democrat Recalls to proceed based on this fraud so I believe in my heart of hearts that the GAB is the problem and for the life of me I do not understand why the FEDS refuse to investigate.

I suspect that there is a tunnel from the GAB right into Herr Walker’s office and I have no proof just months upon months of observations.

When the call come out from the WISDEMS for volunteers to do data entry on the Republican recall petitions we formed boiler rooms of data enter people to review these petition signatures. The email notification of this event was titled WISDEMS DATA ENTRY TASKFORCE.

I am just going to offer these two links from WISDEM News Releases about the matter:

3. It is illegal to coordinate.
Edited on Sun Aug-14-11 03:01 PM by sybylla
It's my understanding that the only agency a candidate can coordinate with is their own party - in this case, the RNC. In fact, someone filed a complaint earlier this week against the Teanderthals of California and the GOP for illegally coordinating in the recall of Republicans in WI.

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/127321188.html

And exhibit A there should be the Tea Party's link off of their own website in California to the RNC phone banks with their own log in.

I have a screen capture, but maybe it wouldn't hurt for a few others to have one too. I got this link from liking them on FB.

So they aren't the least bit ashamed of what they are doing.

Problem is, the GAB isn't about to do anything about it before the election and afterwards, probably will bury it right quick if they even take any action.

5. The Republican executive director of Rep. party complained about Sandy Pasch...

However, Stephan Thompson, executive director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said there are signs that Pasch and the group may be working together.

“In recent weeks, Citizen Action has taken an unusual interest in attacking Alberta Darling, with nearly identical messaging as the Pasch campaign,” he said in a statement. “We feel that it is only prudent to ensure that these circumstances are uncanny coincidences, not the result of illegal activity on the part of the Pasch campaign.”http://foxpoint.patch.com/articles/gop-files-complaint-over-possible-collusion-between-pasch-and-special-interest-group

To have a similar message that Darling is not so Darling is the truth, and not considered working together! Citizen Action is about affordable health care and Sandy's message is similar because it was her job to provide the health care...

I can't wait to see how the GOP explains the collusion of this.

I wonder who made the first complaint?

6. I remember hearing about that in a Urinal Sentinel article
Of course in true "both sides" journalism, they equated an accusation without evidence against Dems to an accusation with evidence against Republicans.
