Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is getting a political promotion from his party as he was just appointed to the executive committee of the Republican Governors Association.

The Republican Governors Association is a non-profit, 527 group that can raise unlimited amounts of cash in its efforts to support gubernatorial candidates.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the top donors to the Republican Governors Association are corporations (39 of the top 50).

And which corporation is the number one donor? None other that News America, a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, owner of Fox News, and the Wall Street Journal.

It was Fox News that ran phony coverage of “rioters” in Madison. The coverage, which had palm trees in the background, was obviously not from Wisconsin, especially not in February.

Other top corporate donors include Exxon Mobil, Eli Lilly, United Healthcare, Reynolds American, GlaxoSmithKline, and AT&T.
